An Open Letter to Jerry Jones

Dear Jerry,

Jimmy Johnson is to blame for the demise of the Dallas Cowboys.
He made a huge mistake which has ultimately sunk the franchise.

He let you think you were a football guy.

He let you sit in on meetings, be in the room on draft day, acted like he was listening to your opinion, and even gave Jerry Jr a crash course in Football 101.
All the while getting exactly what he needed out of you to win Super Bowls.

But one day you realized... He ran the team and all you do is sign the checks...
And your ego couldn't take it.
So you propped up figurehead coaches, ran off the real ones, and ultimately turned America's Team into Jerry's Team.

So congratulations Jerry.
Your approach to football has resulted in... one playoff win since 1996.
How 'Bout YOUR Cowboys!!

On behalf of the fans, How 'Bout turning the football operations back over to a real football guy so we can get OUR Team back?

But you won't do that for us will you Jerry because life is too good.
You have a big new stadium, can afford the big payroll, and even get to shoot commercials, like that one where you deliver pizza for Papa John's.
Ironically, if any of us fans did our jobs as well as you do yours, that's exactly what we'd be doing too.

Sincerely,
Fans of the Dallas Cowboys
